In this comprehensive class you will cover (almost) everything you need to know to get started making your own jewelry! The class will include discussion and demonstrations of the different types of stringing materials, beads, clasps, findings and tools. If you troll through your jewelry box for a piece of broken beaded jewelry, we can use that as a basis for a new bracelet to make in class, or you may purchase a bead kit to use.

Supplies: Beads (enough for 7-8 inches), beading wire, crimps, crimp pliers and cutters, or you may purchase a beading kit for an additional $5.00. Tools will be available for use in class.

Basic Knotting

Have you recently purchased some pearls or other precious beads that are just waiting for a simple, elegant design? Learn to make those intricate knots between your beads as you string them and create a lovely necklace.

Supplies: Size 7 Griffon cord in the color of your choice, your special beads or pearls, two clamshells, and a pretty clasp.

This is an excellent class to expand your jewelry making skills. You will learn about the different properties of wire and how to use them to your advantage. You will make a basic bracelet using wire and beads. Bring your own beads or purchase a kit.

Supplies: Beads (approximately 8-15 depending on size), 6 feet 20 ga. wire, wire tools. Kits will be available for an additional $5.00. Tools will be available for use in class.

Flat Stitches For Beginners

Skill level: Beginner; Instructor: Dori Davis; Fee: $10 per class or $55 for all six

This 6 week class will teach you the basic stitches in an easy to learn order. We will start with the ladder stitch and then build with Herringbone/Ndebele. You can continue your starter piece at home to a bracelet length. Week 2 will be Ladder/Brick stitches, and completing your prior week's project. Week 3 will continue with Even/Odd count Peyote; Week 4 will be Square Stitch; Week 5 will be Right Angle Weave, and we'll end with Week 6, Netting.

Supplies: Beads, preferably size 8, with enough for a bracelet (7-8 inches), beading needle, 6lb Fireline, scissors, and a beading mat.
